In the year 2000, Carl H. Kumpf Middle School in Clark, NJ began a new era of student innovation with the introduction of kTV Live. Every morning, students deliver school announcements, local and world news, and some fun video projects along the way...all from a crowded corner in a small classroom with basic multimedia equipment. It's mission: to put the power of journalism and multimedia into the hands of the students and let them capture and broadcast the world through their eyes. ----- Now, seventeen years later, kTV has grown to be a major presence in the school and community in Clark, NJ. Its reach has expanded online, with sites like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and even live online broadcast events. Even though the technologies and audience change as time continues forward, the philosophy of kTV Live remains the same. Come check us out! Visit us on YouTube at www.youtube.com/kumpftv
