Many of these materials will be used to create flexible seating options for students. Flexible seating allows students to better focus on their work and complete work in the ways they learn best. Other materials are tools students will use in the classroom while they are playing to expand on their learning through play. Students use these resources to work collaboratively in groups and demonstrate understanding in a hands-on way. Materials like the chime, world map, and speaker are used to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, loved, and empowered. The materials for this project will be used by students to expand learning and express their ideas. I chose these resources specifically because I feel that each material is integral to creating a positive environment for the students, while also encouraging hands-on, exploratory learning.
