I have an amazing group of kindergarteners, but over half of them are not prepared for school. We have a diversity of students with 3 bilingual students, 10 minority and 4 in special education. All of them work so hard, and are making progress. We set goals for ourselves and I have never had a group that works so hard to reach them. I have awesome families who support us as well. Parents work with their kids at home and one even bought us a computer program to help with spelling. This is a great group of kids who want to be successful! I give awards for kids who make progress. This class almost makes me cry with how loud they cheer for each other! They are so proud of each other and want to celebrate success.
