My eight students are fourth through sixth graders with autism in a moderate/severe classroom at a public elementary school. Visual structure and organization are very important in my classroom, and all students use a visual schedule daily. We work on academics (reading and writing, addition and subtraction), functional skills (personal information), social skills, appropriate behavior, and many other things on a daily basis. All of the students in my class have different goals for the school year, and they all work very hard to reach those goals.
