I teach at a Title 1 school in which I work with a variety of learners. Due to the lack of funding from the school and my own personal funds, my students struggle and are in need of writing folders, art supplies, snack foods, and more. Since integrating writing into my content areas, the students have not had a home for their writing work. New folders will help with that! Snacks are needed to fuel my kiddos hungry bellies! Against all odds, my students have dreams and desires to be successful and attend college to make a difference. My students have high expectations of themselves and their abilities, practicing on whiteboards will increase their confidence. They need markers to be able to practice! They work hard and have built a community in our classroom that is high achieving, compassionate and caring. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student achievement, but you will feed empty bellies, supply students with a writing folder, and give students new art supplies!
