In our classroom, we have 20 4/5 year old students. All of our students will enter Kindergarten next school year. Many of our students are Kinesthetic learners, meaning they learn better doing the activity. They enjoy reading, art, blocks, and writing during center time. The science/math center is always the least favorite among the students for free choice. I believe introducing new items in our math and science area will allow them to enjoy this area too! Students will have the opportunity to experience hands-on science and math activities that are exciting, fresh, and hand-on! Our program provides comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to 380 low-income children and their families. Our program and teachers set high-goals for our students and believe that Kindergarten Readiness is very important. Activities that apply to "Real Life" is a requirement for our program. We want the best possible outcome for our students and families.
