Learning how to communicate with their peers and use materials correctly, is something our students are not all coming in with. Due to the pandemic, a lot of our students have not been around other children in order to develop these social skills. The materials I have chosen will allow them to better develop their social skills alongside their regular academic learning. A few other reasons behind the materials I chose are that they will allow students to think outside the box and become problem solvers as well as develop fine motor skills. I want to find what will help my students succeed as well as be confident and engaged in their learning. My district is currently in person, so the students will be able to have direct access to these materials in the classroom. If we have students out, the work we have them completing at home will correlate to these materials and use them, once they return to school.
