I am a teacher librarian at a small public school. Because we are a small school our library budget is also very small. Each week I see approximately 360 students ages five through twelve. The students come from various backgrounds. They range from upper middle class to poverty. For many students the school library is the only library they use. Regardless of their situations the students always come to the library eager and excited to read and learn.
