My hope is to furnish my classroom with cooperative learning tables. These tables will allow my second grade students the opportunity to collaborate effectively in small groups while sitting comfortably together in our small classroom. They will be able to share ideas, help one another, and have in depth discussions on standards being taught while at the collaborating tables. Please help us get rid of our bulky, noisy desk which eliminates space for group work as well as space for movement in our small classroom. Students, especially this age, learn best from one another by working together and sharing ideas with one another. My kids will be so excited for the this addition and improvement to our crowded classroom.
