Many of the students in my classroom have sensory needs. They require tactile items to assist them to learn many things in the classroom that typically developing students don't need. Students with Autism require hands on materials to assist them to learn and succeed in the classroom. Having items such as sensory boxes will assist them to learn letters and numbers in a manner in which is best for many of my students. Many times children with Autism learn best when using their hands and senses. The students in my class are tactile learners and would be able to grow in the classroom greatly by using these products.
