I teach a class full of ambitious 4th graders. Many of my students were born in the US but, many are refugees from various African, Asian, Latin and Middle Eastern countries. Our school services a high poverty community. In our classroom, we work hard to reach all our dreams- one goal at a time. My students come from a rough neighborhood and many have lived through refugee camps but, they refuse to let these facts define or limit them. They are taking advantage of the privilege to attend school and have dreams of changing the world! My students love to laugh, are thirsty for knowledge, and refuse to accept anything but excellence from themselves or me as their teacher. They believe that their dreams will be a reality and I am honored, each day, to speak into their hearts and minds words of encouragement and morsels of knowledge! We need your support to succeed.
