The impact of this training will scale through the district as I conduct teacher PD for at least 39 other STEM and digital fabrication teachers in the district. As students learn to be creators of digital content and learn programming and physical computing skills, they are empowered to turn their ideas into reality. They can make prototypes to solve problems and innovate new systems of critical thinking. Students in K-12 will benefit as the impact of physical computing can transform learning. Micro:bits are an assessable entry point for elementary and middle school students to learn block-based coding, and as high school students expand the Micro:bits capabilities with more sophisticated coding languages like Python and JavaScript the impact of learning is boundless.
