Flexible seating invites collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking among students. It also keeps student motivation and engagement higher in the classroom. Flexible seating allows for more physical activity within the classroom, which is linked to higher academic performance, better health, and improved behavior. The donations to fund this project will help give students choice in their learning that benefits the sensory needs of energetic and active third graders. The learning environment provided to students should match their innovative and creative 21st century minds and is possible through the use of flexible seating.
