I am a high school English teacher in Asheville, NC. My views are based on "Whole School, Whole Child," and "Growth Mindest." I am new to Erwin, but I'm hoping to make a difference and create a positive culture in my classroom! My goal is to help students see the power of story, as well as the power of the pen. Reading and writing are tools of empowerment, and every student deserves the opportunity to endlessly learn. I am currently teaching English II & III in which we explore American & World Literature in depth. CAEHS is the most diverse school in Buncombe County, and that diversity is an asset to the ELA classroom. Some students speak more than one language, and students are curious and eager to learn. I'm excited to learn and grow with them! I try to incorporate community building and digital tools in my ELA instruction. Thanks in advance for your support!
