Our students have developed a hunger for robotics and coding! I have borrowed a Sphero Ollie for our students to control, code and try out for a week! I was impressed with the level the students would push themselves to create and design the courses to control Ollie to complete. Given the tools, our students possibilities are endless! Coding Ollie is important because many skills are being used every step of the way. Math methods went into play when figuring the speed and the time to complete a length of the course, sequencing, and counting that will give students confidence and allows them to be in control of their learning. They will also learn perseverance and problem-solving habits that will help them for life. Ollies are a perfect way to learn and make challenges for young students. Sphero Ollies $69.99 X 7= $489.93
