Students in high school have limited time to catch up when they are behind. Providing students with independent reading books will get them there! Students will have access to higher level books that will push their thinking and help them read on grade level rather than years behind. They will be able to talk about and write about what they are reading and help promote interest with other students. Reading allows a student to travel. Students can learn about other cultures, history, and build their imaginations through books. Giving them the opportunity to connect with others through a text is an incredible feeling.
