My students are passionate about science but have had limited experience of labs. Sometimes we do not have enough equipment for each lab group to participate in the activity. My goal is that by the end of the school year, all of my students have had numerous hands on laboratory experiences. My students come from a neighborhood in the Oakland, where they have may have had very limited resources. My school is home to students who speak over 19 different languages. The students are hard working and want to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to better their future and their lives. All of the staff in my school are passionate and genuinely care about our students. Our goal is to improve and increase the likelihood that students have meaningful, memorable, and hands on learning experiences in STEM and across other disciplines.
