My school is an innovative school where we push the boundaries of what the traditional classroom looks like. From flexible seating to flexible spaces, students are able to find the right environment for their learning needs and change it up as they see fit. In our math classroom we are focused on problem solving and discussing how we got to our answers. Students spend much of their time working in small groups at whiteboards to solve a task. In addition to building and developing their mathematical skills they are also building their communication skills and finding ways to work through problems with people that they don't know or get a long with all the time. These skills will carry over into all areas of their lives as they get older and become a adults.
