My students need to have the opportunity to listen to books as many of them are in the beginning stages of learning to read. With many English Language Learners in our class, these materials will provide an opportunity for students to hear the English language while participating with their peers in small group setting. This listening center will help my students learn to love reading! During the listening center, students will sit in a comfortable area in the classroom, hold their own book, wear a pair of headphones, and follow along as they listen to the audiobook. Not only will this listening center help the 30 four-year-olds in my Pre-Kindergarten class this year, it will be used to impact the learning of many students in the years to come!
