Thank you for visiting my page! I work with a wonderful and spunky group of fifth graders, many of whom come from disadvantaged homes. My school as a whole is 80% free and reduced lunch. Simply put that means that in a class of 25 students, 20 of them are unable to pay for books, pencils, field trips, and sometimes even meals for the weekend. Despite these struggles my students still dream of going to college and being successful members in society. While their persistence will take them far in life, we also desperately need new books, technology, and real world experiences to give these kids the advantages they weren't all born with. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity!

About my class
