Our students are incredibly diverse and we try to create an environment of patience and acceptance. Although we are very different, we want everyone to feel as if they are being treated equally. We want all of the 3rd - 5th grades to have the same student planner so they can stay organized; although we thrive on diversity, it is important that everyone is mutually planning in the same way. These planners give us space to write quotes or important social and emotional learning phrases. It is not just for homework. We are going to use them to help the students work together and stay organized. There are anti-bullying pages, pages for their friends to sign, and a way for them to have a momento of their school year.
