My students are dedicated and eager to learn but attend a school in a very low socio-economic area of California. We don’t have a lot in the way of materials, but my students try to help out where they can. They try hard, but struggle with the topics of mid- and high-end math. They won't let this stop them though! They are college-bound students who want to work in the medical field, but are doing it through the non-traditional route of statistics rather than calculus. Most of them will the first person in their family to attend a university, and they just want to be prepared for the basics.
