In order to learn about aquatic ecosystems and practice completing a college-level scientific investigation, we need supplies to safely venture out into the stream near our school. Our goal is to study how different aquatic environments and microinvertebrates affect the rate of leaf decomposition. Wearing waders will allow my scholars to access an ecosystem that they do not often interact with - streams. The waders are important personal protective equipment that will allow brave scholars to wade into the stream near our school to collect data using the sampling equipment also on this project. We hope to use these supplies to learn more about aquatic ecosystems!
