Many of my students are fully immersed in a culture where technology is king. They often have cell phones, tablets, and computers at their disposal, but don't have the opportunity to just be creative. I have found that my students love to build and will often choose to independently work with Legos rather than go on a Chromebook. These building materials will allow my students to collaborate and use their imagination to create 3-dimensional representations of concepts we are learning in class. We can build functioning amusement park rides that utilize the patterns of motion or build a habitat for any region of the world. Anything is imaginable when Legos and K'Nex are available. I look forward to seeing the amazing creations that I know my students will invent and develop.
