I have an amazing group of learners! At the beginning of the year, we learn how important it is to have a growth mindset. We learn that we can achieve anything with hard work, even if we don't get it right away. Once the students learn this, they remind themselves and each other of it every day. In our classroom we become like a second family to one another. It warms my heart to see the students supporting each other, helping each other, and cheering for each other. My first graders work hard each and every day. You'll rarely see students working at their seats. Many of them choose to work on the floor, in our chair, or on our bench. I'm really hoping to give them more options to do their best work. One of my goals is to get more flexible seating for them so they have even more choices. I feel so privileged to be their teacher and look forward to seeing them every day.
