Hi there! I am a first grade teacher in Iowa City, IA and a mom of three. My oldest son has ADHD and benefits greatly from using a "wiggly cushion" at the dinner table - it decreases his anxiety, helps him focus, and allows him to wiggle in a non-intrusive way. Giving my students the choice to wiggle and wobble truly helps them learn. I'd like to incorporate more of these items in my classroom. These flexible seating choices will benefit students for many years, but I am particularly hopeful to add more this year as Covid-19 requires we don't share supplies and stay seated more often. Students will have fewer opportunities this year to "mill-about" as needed, so giving them the freedom to wiggle in their chairs will be critical!  With this project, I am requesting: -Kick bands for their chairs  -A few wobble chairs   -And of course, a few more beloved wiggle cushions Thank you for considering my students!
