I currently have 21 students in my classroom, but only 10 cubbies. Some of my students are forced to put their backpack, jackets, and other belongings on the floor during the day. I want my classroom to be a place that my students feel at home. Learning can't take place in an environment where a child does not feel like they belong. Having cubbies available to each and every student will give them a place of their own in the classroom. Every other kindergarten classroom on our campus has cubbies for every student. I want my students to have this same opportunity. This project will not only benefit this year's class, but will also benefit many students in the years to come.
