Remember when you were in school? Did you feel comfortable? Was your environment colorful? My favorite teacher created an environment that was both warm and welcoming. I would find myself in her room throughout the day to hang out and talk with friends or study. I want my classroom to be that welcoming! Students learn better in an environment that cultivates learning and curiosity. Splashes of color with flexible seating, like bistro sets and benches, create a feeling of freedom. In such an environment, students are free to inquire, discover, and learn without feeling like they are in a school-setting. I have the bench. My walls are colorful with splashes of paint and a variety of inspirational quotes and signs. I even have Christmas lights around the ceiling. Sadly, though, I am limited to 31 desks, which do not create the ambiance I would like to achieve. These table sets will go a long way in helping to achieve my dream of a cafe' classroom.
