I teach fourth grade. My students come from low income families and many of those families are single parent families. Along with their financial positions, these students struggle to learn due to physical impairment. In a classroom of 31 students, 7 of my students are classified as deaf or hard of hearing. This impairment makes it difficult for these students to learn traditionally. These students need opportunities and materials available for them to learn visually and through the use of their hands. I am excited to see the enthusiasm that these students come to school with every day. They are excited and ready to learn. I would love to provide them with the resources that will help them to succeed.
