My students are high potential yet low level students who do their best when given the opportunity to participate in projects and work collaboratively. They like to explore and discover new ideas and techniques with guidance. They are very acclimated to my classroom expectations when they arrive. My classroom consists of highly diversified students from a multitude of backgrounds. Some of my classes are small class sizes and some are very large class sizes. Never-the-less, it seems to be more productive in a math classroom to have a flipped one where the students can watch and take notes online, then complete work/practice in class with my help if necessary. The only obstacle is not having alternative resources for students to participate if they do not have it at home. I look forward to seeing them everyday and I enjoy having a personal relationship as well as working closely with them.
