They are urban middle school students who come from various cultural backgrounds and languages, creating a truly unique and diverse classroom. Many of them lack access to technology at home which motivates us to provide these tools for our students even more. They are funny, kind, and desire to learn. They enjoy using technology & hands-on activities and need stimulating and enthralling academic exposures in order to help solidify the content they are learning and foster college readiness. We learn together in a large middle school that does the best it can for our highly impoverished population. Our school has a large ELL (English Language Learners) population and high needs for differentiation and authentic learning experiences. We are a family of teachers, administrators, support staff and learners that truly care about one another and work together to deliver the best for each and every one of our students.
