I am requesting an iPod to document my students field trip experiences as well as documenting their successes in the classroom. An iPod will also allow me to send text messages to parents and easily send them pictures to keep them updated on the progress of their child. My students are non-verbal so pictures are really worth a thousand words to parents. This will allow me to have better parent/teacher communication and to give parents a look into their child's school day. An iPod is easily accessible to staff, portable to take with us on field trips, and can access the school's wifi system to send and receive pictures and texts from parents.
