My students come from a low income area. We are a Title 1 school and all of our students are on a free breakfast and lunch program. They are great students with good parents. When they come to school they feel safe and are willing to learn. In my 2nd grade classroom the students are engaged with the new common core group work and centers. They navigate the room and are learning how to use materials academically. I also run 4 different after school clubs. 1. REC14 is Rancho's Engineering Club where we build and create. 2. Craft Club where we create gifts for the holidays 3. Math Facts Club where we use hands on materials to solve math problems 4. Mad Science Club where we experiment and solve interesting questions.
