My pre-k students with special needs are all young three year olds, starting in my class on their 3rd birthday. We are in a high poverty area and the students' disabilities include global delays, developmental and physical disabilities, Down's Syndrome and Autism. The two years they spend in my class are the most critical for intense early intervention. The resources we have available and the progress they make during these early years will determine their readiness to succeed in an inclusive setting.
