The calculators will directly impact the student's confidence in solving multi-step math problems. While a big focus is on math syntax, students can gain math confidence if they are able to double check their work with a calculator. Calculators are an essential mathematical tool that will support struggling students that will not only be expected to learn new concepts, but also battle low esteem and fear of how they will be able to multiply and divide complex numbers, decimals, and fractions. Having calculators for our class is a fundamental need, and will meet the needs of each student in a different way.

About my class
