In my classroom, I aim to promote the benefits of being bilingual and biliterate while also being a lifelong learner everyday. Therefore, it is my goal to build a collection of level appropriate books in both English and Spanish for my Spanish speaking ELL students. I chose the Magic Tree House collection because it includes action packed reads that not only have lower lexile numbers, but also gain the interest of middle school age students. Through providing students with books in two languages and the audio versions of these books, all students will be provided the tools they need for success in reading. It is my hope that this small success will allow the curiosity of learning to grow and flourish both in and out of my classroom.
