My rural Eastern WA school district is nestled in a small town of hard working families. Our students come from a background that often includes blended or broken families, homelessness, poverty and more. In my K-2 building, students often struggle with academic deficits, social emotional issues or both. Our staff is taking steps to help support these students as best we can with what resources we have in our classrooms. I'm hoping to provide additional support to over 400 students in the areas of Reading/Phonics, collaborative learning, Art and STEM. The project here will allow more students access to engaging learning opportunities in the library.
