STEAM To Go Boxes will benefit students whether we are in hybrid learning or full-on e-learning. I want students to continue to experience hands-on STEAM activities like we would have done at school. In addition to library curbside pick up, families with students at my school will also be able to pick up a STEAM To Go Box. Each week a different grade level will be eligible to receive the activity. Some weeks the box will contain step by step directions for students to follow along and make a specific project. Some weeks there will be a literary component and students will be able to listen to a book online and respond using the materials provided. STEAM classes have been very popular and have allowed students to explore using different materials, and although we will not be present together, I want to keep alive that spirit of wonder and exploration.
