I work in a Title I school where a large number of our students receive free or reduced-price lunches. Many of our students come to school to get away and to be loved. The demographics of our school push me to provide a fun and loving atmosphere for my students to learn in. The fifth grade students in my classroom are awesome, many of whom come from poverty stricken, divorced, or single parent households. I have had students who live in shelters, students with no electricity, and several who receive backpacks of food to keep from going hungry over the weekend and long breaks
