As all of my students have varying degrees of ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), the primary deficit of this diagnosis is within verbal and non-verbal communication. During whole group, small group, and 1:1 learning time in my classroom, with the help of an iPad used as an AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device, my students will be able to have a voice to learn and express their wants and needs! With this AAC device, I will be able to download communication applications to the iPad that will highly benefit every student in my classroom, especially my non-verbal and partially verbal students. Examples of specific AAC applications are Touch Chat and Proloquo. Your donations will give my students the opportunity to have a voice in my classroom! Thank you!
