This listening center will be used in our classroom during our Daily 5 reading rotations. During this time students will use this listening center to listen to books on tape. When students listen to books on tape they hear models of correct pronunciation of words and expression in reading which is critical at a young age. Other than listening to models of expression and pronunciation, this listening center provides an opportunity for students to work on their book handling skills and following along with the text with one to one correspondence. If we had a listening station in our classroom we would be able to use the other technology in our room for stations such as word work and work on writing.

About my class
