After the pandemic and students returning to in-person learning, many of my students are struggling with mental health and wellness. It is my role as an educator to collaborate with all stakeholders which include: parents, community members, district personnel, professional counselors, social workers, and school leaders. With the help of an iMac, my students will be able to create, design and engage in weekly mindfulness videos and content in order to promote mindfulness-based stress reduction. My students will also utilize the iMac for engage in weekly meditation and therapeutic lessons. I believe in not only tending to students' academic needs, but also their social and emotional health concerns. It is critical in removing barriers to learning and developing skills and behaviors critical for academic achievement.
