I teach at a Title I school in Orlando, Florida where at least 80% of our families live at or below poverty. My classroom is filled with multicultural, bright, impressionable 5th graders eager to learn. Our theme this year is "Sailing into Our Futures." I have 22 students in my homeroom class. My students vary in their reading levels and interests. My goal as a teacher is to teach a love for reading. What better way to do that then to read to them daily.
