The materials I am requesting will help my students learn during the pandemic by being hands-on safely. This will improve their social skills by working side-by-side but giving enough space to keep them safe. To make an upcoming unit more engaging, my students would use the water and sand sensory table interchangeabley with letters, shapes, numbers, colors, and much more that we learn throughout the year. This can also coincide with our weekly themes and events. I also requested sand to keep our table clean and enough to change out when needed. My classroom does not have any sensory tables for my 30 students but this will be a great start to get us there! I believe this will help my visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners. To bring my dream learning activity to life, I’d love to get the water and sand sensory table as well as some starter sand.
