My students are from a low economic county in Mississippi where many residents receive government assistance that include government housing, medical, and food assistance. Our school is a free/reduced lunch school. Our school is low on funding so it is very hard to provide many learning activities for our students. My students in turn have developed a sense that everyone expects them to not succeed and only become more dependents of government assistance. Well, I know that they are talented and well-educated individuals that have the potential to achieve whatever their desires are. The sky is the limit and there are people who really care.
