My curious, energetic, and hard-working six grade students do many group projects in science and history. Having Chromebooks to aid them in their discovery of information, beyond the classroom textbooks, is vital to their learning. Using that new knowledge from their research and using Google Drive to do collaborative projects, will help these students produce different and creative end results. Even when the Chromebooks aren’t being used for projects and group work, students can access them in the classroom to do independent work on writing, editing, keyboarding, or their own research. Having the Chromebooks in the classroom will give everyone an opportunity to access programs every day during class. Some of the students do not have computers at home, so having the extra time in class will be beneficial to those students especially. The students are always excited and willing to try new things. I would like to give them all the opportunities to learn and grow into the amazing people they will become.
