My number one goal is to prepare my students for college and life after high school as best as I can. These materials will give my students a chance to level the playing field and better set them up for success in college. Many of the resources we have currently are decades old or in very rough conditions. The Norton Anthologies of the English Language will give my students access to a wider variety of literature and expand their experiences with classic literature. The Scholastic magazines will give them the opportunity to engage in class discussions on current events and popular subjects while getting information from a trusted source. Highlighters are a necessity for annotation and information retention.
