My students have a wide variety of interests and are constantly asking "Is there a book about that?". My main goal with this project is to give them access to new high-interest books. There are always new and wonderful books being released and I want my students to read them all! Fostering a love for independent reading is my top priority as a Language Arts teachers. Having LOTS of books available in our classroom makes finding that "just right" book a breeze. Books can be expensive, and most of my students come from families where "new books" is not a line item in their monthly budget. Having books available from multiple sources (school library, classroom, curriculum) means my students are able to constantly have a good book with them, even when they head home for the weekend. This project includes more than 60 varied high-interest books that will inspire my students to always have their noses in one! A life-long love of reading begins early, and as an elementary school teacher, this is my main goal! Thank you for helping me achieve it!
