I teach Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade self contained special education. My students are primarily labeled with ED/BD (emotional and behavioral disabilities) and DD (developmental delay). Many of my students live in a high poverty area in Hanover Park, IL. Within my classroom I teach all subjects for all 3 grade levels. My students spend a lot of time working on literacy activities independently or with a classroom assistant after getting direct instruction from me.
