I am a first year teacher and do not have many personal resources for my students. I work with special education students in the second grade. My students are dedicated learners who try their best to fit in with their grade leveled peers. However, when it comes to reading, they often feel unsuccessful seeing their friends being able to choose their own books from the classroom library. My students do not have as many opportunities to choose their own books from their classroom library, as they are all too difficult for them.
